My son went to see Madison Mills here at the Center for Positive Change. When he was 6 years old he started exhibiting low self esteem and negative thoughts and feelings. He continued to go to her for almost 2 years. My son loved going to see her. She incorporates fun into her lessons. I call them lessons because she helped him learn how to cope with his feelings and provided instruction on how to encourage himself. She makes the parent feel like a friend. She would also answer question I had about my other son who was not seeing her. If we have any issues come up for my children, I would go see her immediately.
I was refered by my sons hospital, who literally found them via google. So, at this point, I do not even know if they have a specialist qualified to deal with my son. This morning, he is throwing up, so I tried to call and reschedule. However, the number on google, is not current. The number on my sons discharge paperwork leeds to an answering machine that hangs up on you when you say "hello"... Edit.. they called me after my son was 30min late for his appointment. The discharge paperwork had the wrong number written down. BCBS also has another number. So this is 4 phone numbers now... but at least we got my son's apt rescheduled with someone who is qualified for his diagnosis.
